Program Eligibility
You must meet the below eligibility criteria to qualify for Start-up Visa program:
- Qualifying Business:
- You hold atleast 10% of the voting rights attached to all shares of the corporation out of all shareholders of the Company;
- Your shareholding along with the designated organization should be atleast 50% of the total voting rights of the corporation at that time.
- Letter of Support from Designated Organization: Must obtain a letter of support from a designated organization in Canada. Designated. Designated organizations are business groups that has been approved to invest in or support possible start-ups)
- Sufficient Resources: You must also demonstrate enough financial funds to support yourself and your accompanying family members’ stay in Canada.
- Language Requirements: You must take a language test from an approved agency and include the results with your application. You must meet the minimum level of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in either English or French in all of these four areas:
- speaking
- reading
- listening
- writing
